Nikki Rich Interview ( By Samantha McCoy)

You’ve been in the entertainment business for 10 years. can you tell us how you got started and what advice would you give to upcoming media / radio personalities who are just getting started?

I started my Online Radio & Television Show April 4, 2011. I wanted to create a positive platform to showcase & highlight black business owners, artist, athletes and more from across the globe. We had a vision.

We envisioned a network of listeners that work together to learn grow and develop given the opportunity to be heard, share projects, and given the proper tools needed in order to be successful on a positive platform. The Nikki Rich Show seeks to make a difference in entrepreneurs lives. We believe one of the best ways is to build networks and reach people through social media networks such as the following: radio, tv, print, the internet, and via phone.

Black owned media outlets recently spoke out about celebrities passing by or ignoring them on the red carpet. Do you agree or disagree that black owned media companies don’t get the same treatment as their counter parts and what do you think needs to happen in order for things to change?

You’re an ambassador for the Oprah Winfrey Network. Tell us what that has been like for you?

It has been amazing to be an OWN Ambassador. We are able to support the OWN Network promoting the shows and attending events. The best experience was being personally invited to Oprah’s birthday party. The best time of my life. I am also OWN media covering everything OWN. I have covered 2 Oprah Tours. “The Life You Want Tour” & “Vision 2020” Oprah inspires me so much!

What can we expect from you in the future?

In the future, we are getting ready for our for our Radio & TV Year Anniversary celebrating 10 Years. We will continue to Interview & give back to the community & support global business owners.
